Q-Switch Laser

Q-Switch laser is a type of laser that delivers very short, high-energy pulses. It is most commonly used for pigmented lesions and tattoo removal. The laser breaks down pigment so that it can be removed by the body.

What Does It Help With?

• Tattoo removal (especially black and dark colors)
• Sunspots (solar lentigines)
• Freckles
• Birthmarks (ephelis, nevus)
• Persistent pigment irregularities in the skin

How Is It Applied?

• The eyes are protected with goggles or protective shields
• The skin is cleansed
• Pulses are delivered with the laser handpiece
• Procedure time: 5-20 minutes, depending on lesion size
• Local anesthesia may be required

How Many Sessions Are Needed?

• Tattoo: 3-10 sessions (color, depth, and whether it is old or new are important)
• Sunspots / freckles: 1-3 sessions
• Session interval: 6-8 weeks
